missing in actionin blurs of misty teal and neon light
a fingered cloud of ice and dusted dreams
had laced through bands of ultraviolet nights
and broken tightened borders at the seams.
she watched as stars descended; taking years,
like spit from glowing mouths of time and space
and satellites had wiped away her tears
with hands of glass and hair of iron lace.
and time away had shattered all her thoughts
of him returning with a beam of sun,
his eyes were dark but glowed with sixty wattss
replaced her hands (once closed in his) with guns.
and gravity had never pulled him home,
back to his little girl, sleeping alone.
